The University of Bedfordshire set out its stall in Luton
town centre recently, offering course advice to shoppers and local residents.
The One Stop Uni Shop featuring the University’s specially branded show van was positioned on Market Hill over three-days earlier this month (May) as part of the University’s community engagement initiative to reach out and give local people an insight into higher education.
Head of Student Recruitment Lal Joshi said: "This is the first time the University has positioned the show van at Market Hill and I’m delighted with the public response. Lots of people made enquiries with us and many prospectuses were handed out over the three days.”
The University is also hosting a number of open days over
the next few months at its Luton (Park Square) and
Bedford (Polhill Avenue)
campuses, where prospective students can find out about full-time and part-time
learning opportunities. Open days will take place on:

The University is investing millions into new state-of-the-art facilities. A new £34m Campus Centre opened last autumn and a brand new £20m Postgraduate and Continuing Professional Development Centre is due to commence construction at the Luton campus later this year, opening in early 2013. The University recently won The Queen’s Award: International Trade 2011.
