Dr Sonal Minocha has been appointed Dean of the University of Bedfordshire Business School.
She will join the University on 1 January 2012 succeeding the current Dean, Professor Paul Burns.
Dr Minocha is currently Associate Dean (International, Development and External Engagement) in the Faculty of Business and Law at the University of Sunderland. She has previously been a Head of Department at the Ashcroft International Business School, Anglia Ruskin University and Dean of Business at Raffles University, South East Asia’s largest private University.
Looking forward to her new appointment, Dr Minocha said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the University in January. The University has a clear vision for the future and I’m eager to get involved in discussions shaping the new University Strategy for 2012-17.
“I also look forward to developing further the international profile of The Business School. International student recruitment is very strong at Bedfordshire and I intend to build on the University’s international ties beyond recruitment.
“Here in the UK I also see much potential for developing the University’s business opportunities through the regional and corporate partnerships agenda, promoting practice based management education and services with more cross-working activity in the education, private and voluntary sectors.
