University to host 48-Hour Game Jam with Train2Game

The University of Bedfordshire will play host to more than 150 games’ enthusiasts competing head-to-head to create innovative video games using Unreal Development Kit, a professional tool used to make the biggest games in the industry.

On Friday, 4 November, registered competitors will meet at the University’s new computer development labs at the Luton campus to form teams and build games around a secret theme, which will be announced on the first evening of the event.

Myra Smallman, Head of Teaching at Train2Game said: “After the success of the last Game Jam, we’re delighted to be hosting the event at the University of Bedfordshire again. This is a great opportunity for Train2Game students to get together, have fun, and rub shoulders with well- known developers from the industry.”

The jam concludes on Sunday, 6 November when four teams will be selected as winners by industry experts from some of the UK’s biggest development houses.
