Vice Chancellor presented with new Lifetime Award

The University of Bedfordshire’s Vice Chancellor was presented with a new Lifetime Achievement Award at a glittering business awards ceremony in Bedford last week.

Professor Les Ebdon CBE DL was rewarded for the “outstanding contribution he has made to the county and for assisting so many people in their education.”

He was presented with the award which recognises an “exceptional personal contribution to the county” at the Rising Stars Bedfordshire and Luton Business Excellence Awards.

Professor Ebdon said:  “I was surprised and at the same time absolutely thrilled to receive this award. The University has strong business links in the region and I am delighted to be among some of the best businesses and individuals in the region represented here tonight.”

The Awards were judged by retail industry expert Don Gillett, Central Bedfordshire College Vice Chairman Paula Grayson and Charles Little, director of chartered accountants and business advisors Keens Shay Keens Limited.
