New partnership in Aylesbury Vale

Mon 31st October, 2011

The University of Bedfordshire is joining forces with Aylesbury College and Bucks New University in an exciting new partnership.

The University Centre Aylesbury Vale (UCAV) is designed to offer students in Buckinghamshire access to higher education without the need to travel or relocate to other institutions.

Delivery of the majority of the programmes will be provided by Aylesbury College, while the partner Higher Education Institutions are within travelling distance of the College, ensuring the students can easily make use of the Partner facilities.

UCAV is designed to provide students with university accredited, professional and vocational programmes. Courses on offer will include BSc (Hons) Midwifery, Foundation Degree Business Management, CIPD, and BSc (Hons) Nursing.

Professor Ebdon signed the partnership agreement on 26 October alongside Principal of Aylesbury College, Pauline Odulinski, and Vice-Chancellor of Bucks New University Ruth Farwell.

Professor Ebdon said: “I am delighted the University of Bedfordshire is part of this exciting new partnership to bring higher education to students in Buckinghamshire.”
