The University of Bedfordshire is hoping to achieve back-to-back wins at this year’s prestigious Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide awards.

The Web Marketing Team has been shortlisted in the categories Best Website and Best use of Social Media at this year’s awards which celebrate the best in the industry across the UK.

The University is hoping to repeat the success of last year when it scooped Gold for its corporate website www.beds.ac.uk in the category Best Website or Microsite.

The University also won Silver for its staff and student newspaper Life in the Best Newspaper category. It was also a finalist in the Internal Communications category for its staff website.

The PRide Awards is the only awards scheme which showcases the best PR work being carried out across the UK regions and nations.  The University has been shortlisted from more than 1,000 entries to this year’s awards across 12 regions.  The University is a member of CIPR’s Thames and Chiltern Region.

Jane Wilson CIPR CEO said: “The CIPR PRide Awards celebrate the best PR and campaigns from the profession across the UK. To be shortlisted for an Award demonstrates exemplary achievement, impact and value – immediately putting their work in the spotlight. Congratulations to everyone for reaching this stage."

Winners will be announced at presentation dinners taking place in each of the 12 participating regions from October to December.

Details of each event are available on the dedicated PRide page of the CIPR website.
