Cartoon fanatics will get the chance to see the best of British animation when an animation road show makes a stop at the University of Bedfordshire later this month.

The British Animation Awards (BAA) Public Choice regional tour will be at the Luton campus from Wednesday, 15 to Friday, 17 February, from 8.30-10pm in the Judith Blake Theatre.

At this free event, which is open to everyone, visitors will see a selection of British animation films and they can vote for their favourite, ahead of the main BAA ceremony in March.

Course leader for the BA (Hons) degree in Animation Mark Collington said: “We are really excited to have the opportunity to showcase the best of British animation talent, including home grown talent from Bedfordshire. Events such as the British Animation Awards Public Choice Tour are a great chance to see a lot of the animation that doesn't always make it into cinemas or onto TV.”

There will be a chance to see work produced by BA (Hons) animation graduate Chris Butcher, who won the stop-motion category at the Red Bull Canimation Awards last December. Current animation students from the University will also be presenting their work at an exhibition held alongside the road show.
