The University of Bedfordshire has presented five lucky students with a prize trip to China each. The winning students recently took part in the international iGrad survey.

UK based and international students at Bedfordshire were asked for their views on a range of issues including the University’s facilities and their experiences at the University.

For taking part in iGrad, the University of Bedfordshire offered the prize trips to China. The prizes include return flights, accommodation plus a local social and cultural programme. The winning Bedfordshire students were; Yasir Ikram, Genet Tefera, Lee Robinson, Lilia Kozdra and Manoj Kumar Rajpoot.

This is the second year the University has taken part in the externally managed iGrad survey, run by the International Graduate Insight Group (i-graduate), which specialises in tracking and benchmarking student and stakeholder opinion across the globe. Along with the University of Bedfordshire, i-graduate works with some 1,300 universities across 24 countries.

Professor Ashraf Jawaid, Deputy Vice Chancellor (External Relations) said: “I’m delighted to present these once-in-a-lifetime trips to China to our winning students.

“The University of Bedfordshire is dedicated to seeking student views and opinions. The iGrad survey is a valuable resource enabling us to better understand student needs and to improve the student experience. The 2010 iGrad survey produced some very useful findings for Bedfordshire and we have been working on issues raised to improve some areas and to further enhance areas where we did well. It also helps us to benchmark ourselves against other UK universities.”

The University of Bedfordshire is currently taking part in the National Student Survey (NSS). Final-year undergraduates are eligible to take part and, once again, the University is offering students the chance to win one of four prize trips to China for their participation in the NSS.
