Liberty Living’s student accommodation at the University of Bedfordshire’s Bedford campus, Liberty Park, has been named Best Student Learning Environment in the 2015 National Student Housing Survey (NSHS).

Owned and operated by Liberty Living, the award winning accommodation, which supplements the state-of-the-art Fitzroy and Wenlock Courts at the Luton campus, fought off over 100 other Universities and private student accommodation providers to take the award.

Dr Sally Bentley, Executive Dean of Education & Sport and the strategic lead of the Bedford campus, said:

“We are delighted that the accommodation at the Bedford campus, which also serves University Campus Milton Keynes, has been rewarded for its high level of quality and student satisfaction.

“The campus is a fantastic environment surrounded by a wonderful town, and this latest recognition signifies the growth of the campus and its flagship student accommodation.”

Liberty Living was also shortlisted in three further categories: Best Student Broadband, Best Private Hall Provider and Best Booking Experience, in which the company was the only private halls provider in the top three. Liberty Living was also awarded the International Student Quality Mark, making them one of just six providers or universities with over 90% satisfaction among international students.

The National Student Housing Survey was completed by 22,000 students from 130 different nationalities studying at over 200 UK universities and colleges.

John Kenny, COO of Liberty Living, added:

“We are very proud that Liberty Park Bedford has won the Best Student Learning Environment.

“We are also delighted to be recognised for our high-quality student broadband, showcasing how we are catering for the modern, digital student.

“The rewards reflect our focus on offering the very best student experience and demonstrate the success of our partnership with the University of Bedfordshire.

“I’d like to thank the University and our amazing team at Liberty Park for creating such a wonderful place to live, learn and study.”

The recognition comes soon after Bedford was named in the top five areas for student safety across England and Wales, in a study conducted by student accommodation portal StuRents.com.
