How to apply for a research degree

To apply for a research degree, please make sure you fulfill the entry requirements and then complete the online research degree application form and upload your supporting documents.

You should have a good honours degree (2:1 or above) or masters degree or equivalent in the relevant subject area.

Centre for Research in Law (CRiL)

CRiL, Centre for Research in Law

The centre is the focal point for the School of Law's rapidly developing research activities. The centre provides an intellectual setting in which academics within the School, visiting scholars and postgraduate students interested in legal studies can regularly meet, exchange ideas, present research papers and formulate new research strategies.

The research activity at CRiL is organised around three research groups: the Research Group on Law and Terrorism, the Research Group on Investment Treaty Arbitration and International Commercial Arbitration, and the Research Group on International and European Financial Law.

The Fellows of the centre deliver expertise in research in several fields including EU law, international investment law, commercial law, international and EU financial law and taxation law, taxation law, public international law, international human rights law and international humanitarian law, aviation law, and family law.
