How to apply for a research degree

To apply for a research degree, please make sure you fulfill the entry requirements and then complete the online research degree application form and upload your supporting documents.

You should have a good honours degree (2:1 or above) or masters degree or equivalent in the relevant subject area.

International applicants should be aware of our research degree English language requirements

Research Centre for Contemporary Accounting and Finance (ResCAF)

ResCAF has been established to maintain a continuing enhancement of the research profile of the Division of Accounting and Finance within the University of Bedfordshire Business School.

In particular, the centre’s objectives are:

  • To foster a vibrant research environment for academic staff and postgraduate research students in all areas of contemporary accounting and finance
  • To encourage multidisciplinary research involving accounting and other disciplines such as marketing, human resources, strategic management, operations management, management information systems, tourism and hospitality and other relevant areas
  • To encourage and support research grant applications to a variety of agencies such as professional accounting organisations, research councils, charities, and other sponsoring bodies to secure external funding
  • To provide an international forum for researchers in the Division of Accounting and Finance to undertake high quality research leading to publications at national and international standards
  • To play an active role in the publication and dissemination of research undertaken by ResCAF members
  • To develop research courses in areas of interest for both the discipline and the profession
