Research
This expert workshop explores, in the main, physical neglect. It is focused on responding to suspicions of physical neglect among adults with long-term health conditions such as people with severe physical disabilities, frailty or at end of life.
The signs and symptoms of physical neglect that may be observed by or reported to social workers will be described by Hazel Heath. This is designed to assist social workers in observation, recording and evidence collection.
The workshop contents will be situated in the context of adult safeguarding policy and practice. Jill Manthorpe will comment on the practice, data collection, and policy implications of neglect, drawing on her recent studies of serious case reviews and secondary data.
Alternatively, download and complete the booking form and return to the Making Research Count Administrator via normal post, fax or email.
Confirmation of your booking will be sent by email. Joining Instructions will be issued one week before the event.
