Research

Tink Palmer is a social worker who has worked with children and their families for 38 years. In the past 27 she has specialised in child sexual abuse and exploitation and is an experienced clinical and forensic practitioner, manager, trainer, policy maker and strategist. Currently she is the CEO of the recently registered charity The Marie Collins Foundation. The foundation aims to work in partnership with agencies and professionals to provide knowledge and skills to respond to technologies- direct work with children and their families, training, consultancy, responding to media and lobbying for change are the other services that the foundation offers.
In this workshop she will highlight new practice issues for those working with children and their families for whom sexual abuse online is an issue, identify where changes need to occur and offer some solutions. The Workshop will be interactive with an opportunity for participants to consider case studies, offer feedback and contribute to the development of new ways of working.
