Research
The Institute laboratories contain a number of materials that are particularly hazardous to new and expectant mothers.
New or expectant mothers planning to visit these laboratories should contact their Occupational Health advisor, their medical practitioner and/or the Laboratory Manager for advice.
The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) is responsible for the UK's implementation of the health and safety aspects of the European Council Directive 92/85/EEC, otherwise known as 'The Pregnant Workers Directive'.
