Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme

Eligibility and How to apply

The deadline for the submission of electronic applications for a Commonwealth Shared Scholarship at the University of Bedfordshire is 31 March 2012.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship students must be residents in developing Commonwealth countries who have applied to study for the MSc Public Health. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have an outstanding academic and personal profile.

The scheme is administered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission and further information about the funding and applicants' eligibility, including a list of the countries considered 'developing', is available in the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission's prospectus [PDF]. Please read this booklet carefully as there are a number of restrictions placed on eligibility in order for the Commission to realise its aims of futhering development.

How to apply

Before applying for the scholarship eligible students must first apply for admission to the University as a postgraduate student on the MSc in Public Health, see How to apply and then submit a separate electronic application for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship using the Electronic Application system Commission's Electronic Application System.

Applicants should note that the Commission's online guidance refers to two possible processes for applications. The University of Bedfordshire is using the process whereby students apply directly using the Electronic Application System Option 2 on this page

Please make your admissions application to the University of Bedfordshire first but then do not wait before making your Scholarship application on the EAS.

The scholarship
