How to apply for a research degree

To apply for a research degree, please make sure you fulfill the entry requirements and then complete the online research degree application form and upload your supporting documents.

You should have a good honours degree (2:1 or above) or masters degree or equivalent in the relevant subject area.

Public health research

Public Health Research

A core area of research activity is concerned with the development of public health and preventative care models.

This work is concerned with both the organisation of Chronic Disease Management (CDM) and the changing professional roles to support preventive care, including users’ experiences of services. 

Projects include:

  • Mental Health Needs Assessment of Marsh Farm Residents
  • Developing Infant weaning models of care among South Asian women
  • The role of Peer Educators in Diabetes Care
  • Evidence based rehabilitation
  • Musculoskeletal injuries
  • Psychological aspects of beliefs, adoption and maintenance of behaviour changes
  • Exercise for diverse populations
