Responding to constant change within the NHS is a challenge. How do we deal with this together? What factors may limit or enhance our success?
Chaired by Professor Chris Johns and presented by the MSc Leadership in Healthcare Practice students.
The conference is particularly aimed at healthcare staff working operationally in the NHS, and will examine leading change in a manner that demonstrates transformation leadership.
The keynote speaker is Dame Christine Beasley, Chief Nursing Officer for England. Guest speaker is Dr Gerry McSorley from the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement.
Professor Johns has a teaching interest in reflective practice and clinical leadership at the University of Bedfordshire. His MSc students have undertaken practical work in a variety of NHS organisations in order to give you an insight on the journeys to change that these organisations undergo.
The students represent many facets of the health economy, including mental health, dietetics, community commissioning and provider services, acute cardiology and infection prevention and control. You will benefit from their first-hand research outcomes, as well as recommendations on how to manage and respond to change effectively.
