How to apply for a research degree

You should have a good honours degree (2:1 or above) or masters degree or equivalent in the relevant subject area.

Adrian Attard Trevisan

Adrian is interested in the relationship between the different sleeping environments and its effect on a number of sleeping and other neurological condition.

Adrian comes from a multidisciplinary background, starting off with a degree in Audio Engineering prior to studying Audiological Sciences, Neurophysiology and Neuroimaging.

His previous research dealt with the creation of a system called “Brain Music System”, consisting of a brainwave controlling therapeutic device that helps in the management of patients suffering from a number of neurological conditions.

Adrian’s work has been presented at a number of international conferences and congresses and he recently penned his first academic textbook on the subject of Brain Computer Interaction.

Adrian’s work experience ranges from working on international projects as a research assistant in the area of psychoacoustics at Orange Labs in France to heading the R&D team of a company specializing in sleeping products and related technologies.

Adrian also served as a member of a number of thematic networks and has had the opportunity to work on projects financed by a number of frameworks offered by the European Commission both as a consortium member and also as a task leader.

Adrian is experienced in both the administering and analysis of  a number of neuroimaging techniques ( mainly EEG, fMRI and MEG).

Adrian is an active member of the Institute of Engineering Technology (IET), Society of Applied Neurosciences (SAN), Audio Engineering Society(AES), British Society of Audiology (BSA) and a subscriber of the British Society of Neurophysiology.
