Research
Lefteris was born in Patras, Greece in 1986 and completed his undergraduate studies in Computer Systems Engineering (BSc) in 2009. The same year he worked as a Radio Systems Engineer for Vodafone before joining the University of Bristol for his postgraduate studies in Communications and Signal Processing.
During his MSc project he worked in collaboration with Motorola in the field of WiMAX femtocells and his thesis entitled “In-fill Enhancement for IEEE 802.16e Networks”.
After graduating in February 2011, he got a PhD studentship from the University of Bedfordshire and he joined the Centre for Wireless Research at the Institute for Research in Applicable Computing in October 2011.
He is currently working on the physical layer of Cognitive Radio networks and more specifically on Spectrum Sensing techniques.
