Research
Faisal received his BSc in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan in May 2000. He started his professional career with the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore in May 2000 and worked until December 2000 as a research assistant. From July 2000 to September 2000 he served in Saudi Arabia as a Telecom Engineer. In 2001 he qualified with the CCIE written examination.
In 2001, he worked as a Network Analyst in San Jose, California, USA. He has also served as a network Engineer in Maryland, Virginia, and Florida and held the position of Team Leader and Manager for Multinational Telecom organisations in the field of Voice over IP for eight years.
In 2010 he came to the UK to further his education. He passed the MSc in Network and Data Communication with distinction from Coventry University, UK. In the same period he delivered seminars, tutorials and lab demonstrations at Coventry University.
In 2011, He started his PHD at the University of Bedfordshire, UK in the area of Energy Efficient Cognitive Radio Ad hoc MAC Protocol under the supervision of Dr Vladimir Dyo. Faisal is also serving the University as a visiting lecturer and lab demonstrator.
