Profile

Dr. Fernando Gordejuela Sanchez, Research Fellow

Dr. Fernando Gordejuela-Sanchez obtained his Ph.D. on 3G/4G/WiMAX network planning and optimization, and cooperative wireless communications at the University of Bedfordshire, UK (UoB, www.beds.ac.uk), in early 2010. Fernando joined the Centre for Wireless Network Design (CWiND, cwind.org) at UoB in October 2006 as a Marie-Curie fellow. He received his B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in Telecommunication Systems and Telecommunication Engineering from Miguel Hernandez University (UMH, www.umh.es) in Elche (Alicante), Spain, in 2003 and 2005 respectively.

Before joining CWiND, he spent a period in the industry in UK during 2006, working in several areas related to the development of different software packages (at wsipowerontheweb.com).

In 2005 he worked at the Eurolab R&D centre of Ericsson (ericsson.com) in Aachen, Germany, in the Department of Radio Systems within the International Internship Program 2005.

Fernando also worked in teaching maths and other I.T. related subjects for more than three years as a part-time job in Alicante, Spain (at schoola.net).

Besides his activities, Fernando enjoys travel, cinema, sport and having good time with friends.
