Haider M. Al-Khateeb, Research Fellow

In 2005 Haider obtained a first class BSc (Hons) in Computer and Internet Applications from Majan College (University College). The award was validated and awarded by the University of Luton (University of Bedfordshire now).
During his study he was involved in many IT projects, therefore he was awarded for outstanding performance from Oman Mobile -The major mobile company in Oman- and he has also been added to the dean’s list of Majan College best students for the graduating class 2004-2005.
In addition to that, he was awarded a scholarship to start working on his PhD research from the University of Bedfordshire.
Internet applications and e-commerce solutions took great deal of his time since the first website he designed for his high school while he was student there, and then the professional work started later on during college days.
Before joining IRAC, Haider has been called to join the IT department at his college where he spent two years doing different projects as well as maintaining and developing their official website for two years.
Haider joined the Institute for Research in Applicable Computing in September 2007 to start a PhD currently titled “Secure and reliable authentication mechanisms for internet applications.”
When he has free time, he enjoys reading, designing, listening to music, swimming, playing football and travelling.
