How to apply for a research degree

You should have a good honours degree (2:1 or above) or masters degree or equivalent in the relevant subject area.

Alanazi, Khaled Matar, 1st Year PhD student

Khaled AlanaziIn 2006 Khaled received a degree of Bachelor’s of Engineering Technology in Computer Technology from Riyadh College of Technology in Saudi Arabia. He then worked for a telecommunication company until 2008.

The company's focus is on wireless and fibre communication. In 2011 He got a Master in Computer Science (MSc) from the University of Hertfordshire in the UK.

He is currently working on his PhD in Fibre Communication and Networking including Radio over Fibre at the University of Bedfordshire.

 Research Interests

  • Transmission data over fibre optics.
  • Implement some techniques by using fibre optic simulation, VPI.
  • Multiplexing and de-multiplexing in WDM and OTDM.
  • Problems that could happen when data transmitted in fibre.
  • Radio over Fibre where wireless antenna connected with wired base stations.
