Dr Mehmet Aydin, Research Fellow

Dr Mehmet Aydin

Dr. Mehmet Emin Aydin is a research/teaching fellow in Department of Computing and Information Systems of the University of Bedfordshire. After completing his PhD, he has worked on an EPSRC funded research project as a research fellow in the University of Aberdeen from September 1998 to September 1999. He has continued researching on parallel and distributed evolutionary algorithms and  multi agent systems in London South Bank University from January 2001 to September 2003 working on the EU funded research project, DREAM (Distributed Resource Evolutionary Algorithm Machine) as a research fellow.

From November 2003 to July 2004, he has worked on a DTI/EPSRC funded research project at University of the West of England as a research fellow investigating the viability of distributed problem solvers via web services. He joined Department of Computing and Information Systems of the University of Bedfordshire in March 2006 to research on planning and optimisation of radio access networks.

He has conducted leading guest editorial for International Journal of Production Research for the special issue on Advances in Evolutionary Computation for Manufacturing and Design Problems, which has been published as Vol.44 Is. 22. In addition to the membership of advisory committee of many international conferences, he is a member of editorial board of European Journal of Industrial Engineering (EJIE).
