You should have a good honours degree (2:1 or above) or masters degree or equivalent in the relevant subject area.

Student news: and Hyunwoo Jung, Mark Bowler, Michelle Flemons, Nalda Wainwright and Vicky Goodyear successfully completed the RS1 process in February and March 2011. Changhyun Lee completed the RS4 process in March 2011.
Members of the group attended the inaugural triangular research meeting with the University of Ghent and University of Birmingham in Ghent on 16th February. Charlotte Kerner, Hyunwoo Jung, Mark Bowler and Michelle Flemons gave papers. Dr Stephen Harvey and Professor David Kirk attended the seminar. The next seminar is scheduled to be held at the University of Birmingham in January 2012.
Dr Ashley Casey gave his first invited international keynote lecture to a conference in Ankara, Turkey on 21st and 22nd January.
Professor David Kirk gave lectures at the University of Valencia and University of Almeria between 18th to 22nd October. He was an invited lecturer to the University of Ghent’s International Week for its Year 2 undergraduate students on 14th and 15th Feburary.
Several international researchers visited the PESP Research Group between October 2010 and April 2011: Dr Jackie Goodway, Ohio State University, 22nd November; Professor Juan-Migual Fernandez-Balboa of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, 18th-19th January; Dr Leen Haerens, University of Ghent; 18th-19th January; Dr Ann MacPhail, University of Limerick, 26th-28th January; Dr Mikael Quennerstedt, University of Orebro, 22nd-23rd March.
