Scientific Services
LIRANS Institute of Research in the Applied Natural Services is an established centre of advanced research at the University of Bedfordshire. The laboratories contain specialist training and research facilities for staff and research students. In addition, LIRANS staff provide consultancy and contract research services to industrial and other customers.
LIRANS Scientific Services provides company personnel with access to advanced equipment, facilities and expertises for their own research. This can provide companies with a means to explore ideas and carry out demonstration of concept studies that might otherwise be prohibitively expensive - since there is no need for major capital expenditure and LIRANS staff can provide just the necessary amount of support.
The laboratories are particularly well equipped with a range of specialist microscopes and imaging techniques with additional instrumentation covering molecular biology, fabrication and analysis.
