This site offers an overview of the Research Informed Teaching
(RiT) work and activities conducted in the University of Bedfordshire
during the period of 2007-2010.
This resource has something to offer to
- New academic members of staff - it offers an
introduction to RiT, how it is understood, practiced and evaluated.
Specific examples of how to link your research and teaching are provided
on this site;
- New heads of departments and senior managers - it
offers an overview of the University's approach to RiT, specific
examples of how research and teaching priorities can be
strategically aligned, in addition to a database of existing
departmental RiT statements and action plans;
- Existing members of staff - it offers information on
enhancing academic practice and examples of creating and sustaining
research communities, learning communities, and communities of practice.
