April 16th - Maximising PR Opportunities – Professor Ivor Gaber.

June 19th - Socially Irresponsible? – Sarah Williams, Groundwork Regional Manager

Do we care about the impact of our actions on other people or the planet? Carnivalists certainly do! Geared towards those with an interest in the Creative Arts, this session will provide practical help and advice on simple measures that extend beyond statutory obligation which you can volutarily take to improve the lives of colleagues, family, local community and society at large.

Carnival Works – Dr Geraldine Connor (date to be confirmed)

To round up this series of events we are particularly delighted to welcome Geraldine Connor, composer, performer, musical director and vocal animator specialising in mainstream rock and pop, Caribbean carnival, Caribbean folk and African American Gospel, Jazz and Blues styles. Geraldine Connor directed the widely acclaimed Carnival Messiah, her adaptation of Handels choral work to a Calypso setting.

19th May to 13th June - B:Fest - Luton Arts Festival

B:Fest is a new Arts Festival for Luton showcasing the artistic talent that is already thriving in the town.  The Festival is an opportunity for all sorts of artists to demonstrate their creativity – be it established and published poets in our mini poetry festival or up and coming new artists from the University of Bedfordshire’s Media, Art and Design students.
