Dancing Communities

This will be the second Student International Festival of Dance – SifDans –hosted at the University of Bedfordshire, following the success of the 2011 festival. This festival provides an annual international performance platform for student work. It is a unique opportunity to explore and engage a range of dancing communities to encourage the next generation of dance professionals.

This year the festival is longer and bigger, offering more workshops and classes, extended contact improvisation jams and two professional performances.

The festival will provide an opportunity for participants to:

• Share their work and view the performances of their international peers
• Discover the potential and opportunity in a range of dance communities
• Gain access to networking opportunities for the next generation of professionals
• Participate in classes and workshops with internationally renowned artists and practitioners

The University of Bedfordshire is ideally located for UK and international delegates, closely situated to Luton airport and centrally positioned enabling easy access from main motorways.
