- About Us
Most first year students are moving away from home for the first time. You can be sure that at the Bedford campus you will have comfortable and safe accommodation where you will be able to relax, meet new friends, party and, of course, study!
We will help find suitable accommodation (depending on demand - in University halls or private sector) for all first year students who register with the Accommodation Office.
You can now apply for accommodation for 2011/12.
We have invested £20m in a new student accommodation complex 'Liberty Living' containing over 500 residences. Liberty Living is on campus which gives you easy access to all campus facilities. More about Liberty Living here

There is also a choice of University managed Halls, all of which are also located on campus. The flats provide en-suite rooms with shared kitchen and living area, as well as standard and study rooms with shared bathroom and kitchen.
Each flat houses 9-16 students with the communal living area offering the perfect setting for catching up with friends and enjoying student life to the full.
Internet in University managed Halls is free, and you will also benefit from on-site facilities and 24-hour security surveillance.
These are the 2011-12 figures.
During the hall Welcome Evening, new students attend a talk from our Security Department about personal safety and the security of their belongings in University buildings, at home and out and about in the town. The Bedford campus message is one of prevention and common sense.
Go to Bedford campus parking for information about the campus shuttle bus service and parking cars and bicycles.
Your welfare and personal safety are important to us. All halls have CCTV systems. The majority of halls have electronic entry systems and intercoms. There is a member of staff in the halls at night who can be contacted in the event of an emergency.
Accommodation needs for students who have left the public care system can often prove to be a barrier to a successful and rewarding student experience.
We are keen to assist students from this background and some halls are able to offer 52 week contracts. Please contact our accommodation team to discuss how the University can support you.
