Signed up, current UoB students, who are surveyed to give the University specific, timely feedback on topical issues. Current or recent surveys include:
We aim to run monthly questionnaires, open to all Panel members. There may be times when questionnaires aren’t set up; there may also be times when we run more than one survey in a month. Extra research projects may be for specific groups of students (e.g. by course, level, campus etc).
The topical nature of the Panel means that questions may cover a range of different issues. It also means that we can’t be entirely sure what specific issues will be covered, but we will be looking at factors and influences which affect the student experience and which, hopefully, we will be able to take action on.
Usually, it will be the “University”, which may include faculties, support services etc, and the ‘wider community’, e.g. the Students Union. There will be occasions, however, when we either invite other parties to put questions to the panel, or when we would like to make panel members aware of other research projects.
We encourage colleagues to focus, and to be able to use the Panel data. Summary feedback to surveys will be sent to panel members where possible.
Unless we specifically ask you permission, data will be anonymised and/or aggregated when any inference of an individual’s identity might be made.
Monthly surveys include prize draws.
No. There is no obligation for Panel members to take part in individual surveys, or to complete a certain any number of surveys in any academic cycle.
