On arrival at the venue for graduation you must register with the graduation team – this is where you will collect tickets for yourself and your guests.
You should then collect your gown from Ede & Ravenscroft. If there is time, it may be possible for you to have official photos taken before the ceremony.
You should be in your seat 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony. You will be seated in presentation order so please ensure you are in the correct seat.
Guests should be seated 15 minutes before a ceremony starts. Please retain your seat tickets as they are needed to enter the refreshments venue after the ceremony.
Please note your ceremony will start at the time indicated in the second letter you receive. It is regretted that due to the formal nature of the ceremony, late comers cannot be admitted See order of proceedings
You may be invited to the Civic Ceremony, in which students process with academic staff from a short distance to the ceremony venue.
Your guests may wish to watch the procession but please note that guests should be in their seats before the procession arrives.
Guests cannot be admitted once the procession arrives at the venue as this marks the commencement of the ceremony. The ceremony is about one hour and thirty minutes long.
