Student life

All lecturers have been sympathetic – I think they understand that sometimes work matters have to take priority and if you explain to them what’s happening – for example you have to attend a meeting at work, which clashes with a lecture, they accommodate this.
Being older I wondered how I would fit in with the other students. To be honest, this has never been a problem.
They treated me just the same as anyone else, as I do with them.
What I do think is great is how we complement each other – being a bit mature means you can sometimes approach things differently to someone less experienced.
I know that returning to education has been the most positive thing I have ever done. I actually dread the summer holidays because I know it’s months before I can get stuck in again!
The course I am on has challenged me, but for the better I think. I certainly see things in the wider world differently.
