Jason Falconer - BA Hons Sport and Adventure Recreation

Living in Bedford is great, everyone’s within a ten mile radius and as a cyclist you’ve got great access.

The free bus that gets you around town is handy as well. Social life is as much as you want to make it.

You can go out all time or, in my case, I went out on the occasions; end of term night, birthday nights out and things like that.

There’s plenty to do.

Lucy Dey - BA Hons Performing Arts

I'm doing Performing Arts and it's really good, I’m in my second year. It's really versatile and you get to choose a lot of what you want. If you just want to do dance, if you want to choreograph your own dance, if you just want to do acting or if you want to do a bit of both. That's what I'm doing, a bit of dance and a bit of acting so you've got a wide spectrum of what you can do! You can help in all the aspects of putting on your own production such as directing, stage set-up, lighting, things like that.

I've got a gallery piece that's going on in a few weeks time, using new media, I’ve never picked up a video camera before and I’ve got a piece of video installation going on in two weeks time!

We've just had the new dance studio opened, fantastic space, new dance floor, changing area, really nice and next month the campus centre opens which has the new theatre in it and the performance studio which should be great!

The lecturers are fantastic, absolutely brilliant, anything you need, meetings, tutorials, equipment, anything like that, they've got it! They get involved as well they're not just lecturing you, they're in there getting involved with the practical work that you're doing, and it’s really good!

Yasmine Yaghmour - BSc Hons Psychology

I studied a bachelor's degree in psychology and it's a really good course, it is a lot of hard work! You have to write the essays and turn up to the lectures, the exams get harder and harder but it's all worth it, you feel like you've really learnt something and you feel like the lecturers really put in the effort!

I know that we get everything put on the internet but it's really worth turning up for the lecturers, if you look at them they're all doctors and terribly smart and if you listen they have a lot of wisdom behind them so it's worth it!

I couldn't believe it when i got here, with the facilities, everything is so high-tech! In the second year i actually got my brain waves read, they put electrodes on my head, it was all quite exciting! They put me in front of a lecture hall with about 200 students and said "Now relax, we want to read your brain-waves whilst you're relaxed!"

It worked and it was really fun, you can get a lot out of it!

Arturo Amor - MA Art and Design

Tell me the 3 best things about the University of Bedfordshire…

“I think the first is the location, it is very close to London so we decided it would be a very good place to come to. I came with my family first to see how it was and we found a few things that were interesting.

Second, the friendliness of a quiet town, for us I mean, we’re coming from a big city so we found everybody to be very friendly when we came to visit first of all. We were trying to find a place to live and a school for my boy.

Lastly, it’s a multicultural environment! We thought it was very interesting to find people from all over the world, just like us, living here and feeling so at home.”
