Welcome to our Incoming Students

Group of students

Here at the University of Bedfordshire we look forward to welcoming our international exchange students and we are confident that you will have a profitable and enjoyable stay.

For your part you’ll be representing just one of 60 international partners from Austria, Canada, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovak Republic, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA.

If you are an EU student paying your own fees, please go to the Fee-paying EU Students section.

If you are an exchange student sponsored by ERASMUS, TEMPUS etc. you will find information in the Non Fee-paying Exchange Students section.

Who is eligible to apply as an international exchange or a visiting student ?

An international student is one who is currently studying at a university which has an agreement on student exchange (Erasmus, bilateral agreement) with the University of Bedfordshire and who comes to study here under the terms of the agreement.

List of Partner Universities of the University of Bedfordshire

An international visiting student is one who is currently studying at a university which does not have an agreement on student exchange with the University of Bedfordshire and who independently applies to study at the University of Bedfordshire. Acceptance of students applying outside the exchange and bilateral agreements is limited.

Exchange and visiting students must be enrolled as degree students at a university in their home country and ensure that the studies taken at the UTA will be accepted as part of their studies at the home institution.

Both international exchange and visiting students must have a good knowledge of English for academic purposes and the following documents must be enclosed to the application form:

  • Exchange Students: Certificate of knowledge of English written by your teacher of English at your home university (exchange students)
  • International visiting students: Official score report of internationally recognised language test, e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, CPE, CAE

Erasmus students and native English speakers from Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, New Zealand, and the USA are exempt from the English language proficiency requirement.

Dear Students,

Please note that you should receive an offer letter from the exchanges office at the University of Bedfordshire/your university to confirm your study at the University of Bedfordshire as an exchange student. It is therefore advised that you contact either the exchange office at the University of Bedfordshire or at your home institution if you have not yet received one.

if you have any questions, please use the contact form to get in touch.
