Sport and leisure activities are well catered for in both Aylesbury and High Wycombe. We have a selection of swimming pools, in addition to purpose-built leisure centres and sports stadiums, excellent golf courses, and much more.
The Sports Stadium in Aylesbury is home to the National Centre for Wheelchair Sport, and offers a range of high-quality facilities for sportsmen and women. Activities on offer include five-a-side football, archery, badminton, indoor bowls, swimming and table tennis. The stadium is also home to the National Wheelchair Championships.
Located in the heart of Aylesbury with 16 bowling lanes, computerised scoring, pro shop, function room and free bowling tuition, Jardines is the ideal place to spend quality time with friends in a social, relaxed and fun atmosphere. Jardines also offers a selection of food in the bar area.
The 18-hole Aylesbury Golf Club is open seven days a week, and is set in peaceful open countryside with magnificent views of the Chiltern Hills. The course presents a challenge to golfers of all abilities.
This is by far the coolest place to swim in Aylesbury. It has a flume, the Lazy River, a heated outdoor pool and a range of water features including bubble beds. For those who want to learn to swim, or swim for fitness, then there’s an eight-lane competition pool with moveable floor.
The Holywell Mead outdoor swimming pool is situated at the eastern end of High Wycombe. The heated pool has its doors open all Summer (between May and September).
Wycombe Sports Centre is situated close to the M40. The centre offers a diverse range of facilities to help you keep fit and healthy, including a 50-metre pool, fully equipped gym, a multi-use sports hall, an astro turf pitch and athletics track.
Wycombe Heights Golf Centre offers two courses as well as extensive practice facilities to accommodate players of all ages and abilities. The 18-hole main course is set on a chalk hillside and offers magnificent views.
The dive club is affiliated to the British Sub Aqua Club - the main UK governing body for Scuba Diving. The club meets on a Thursday night at Wycombe Leisure Centre for training or just a swim, and on a Tuesday night once a month for the Big Tuesday social events.
