Sport is well catered for in Luton. We have a dedicated athletics arena, a selection of swimming pools, purpose-built leisure centres, excellent golf courses, and much more.
The Centre boasts six superb outdoor all-weather courts and two indoor courts. The outdoor surface is sand-filled carpet, which is ideal for a medium-paced game and lends itself favourably to coaching. The indoor surface is cushioned acrylic and is geared for a faster bounce.
Wardown Leisure Centre is located half a mile from town and offers the largest pool in Luton. It’s also home to the Luton Swimming Club. Other swimming and leisure centres in Luton include Lea Manor Recreation Centre, Lewsey Park Pool, and Putteridge Recreation Centre.
Stockwood Park offers an 18-hole course with a 20 bay floodlit driving range suitable for all standards of players. Other golf courses in Luton include the Mowsbury Golf course which offers 18 holes and a sports centre providing an extensive range of indoor facilities as well as the County Netball Centre.
Stockwood Park is home to the Luton Athletic Club and also the Luton Town Belles football club. The Athletics Centre offers a range of sporting facilities including a 400m eight-lane track, long and triple jump pits, a shotput area, weight rooms and spectator seating.
Surrounded by 60 acres of sports pitches, the Luton Sports Centre offers a range of indoor and outdoor activities including table tennis, badminton, basketball, squash, football, as well as providing six tennis courts, three netball courts, a gym and sauna, and a variety of aromatherapy and beauty treatments.
Luton's largest interactive entertainment venue boasts an 11-screen Cineworld cinema, 16 cosmic bowling lanes, a stylish bar, six full size American pool tables, arcade entertainment, and a diverse selection of restaurants.
