November 2010 season, sees theatre, film, poetry, music and comedy on the programme and we have some iconoclasts coming our way to round off the Autumn 2010 season.
We strive to bring your favourite, incisive, witty comedians to your door and this season is no exception. We are delighted to present a comedy double header featuring UK and international comedy circuit favourites Jimmy McGhie and Tom Deacon.
As the long nights draw in and austerity is on the political agenda, we have the “quiet phenomenon” Wendy Cope to raise an eyebrow with her wry, ironic poetry.

Volcano Theatre reminds us of the winter of discontent, 1977, the point at which the Sex Pistols and The Clash hit the airwaves and Francis Ford Coppola is finishing Apocalypse Now. This theatre piece is set on the notoriously troubled movie set and in Wales!
Peacemakers provide a double-bill of politically astute plays, a face-paced comedy about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, followed by a drama about war journalism.
For those of you who enjoyed last season’s films, we have a very special Bollywood Film Festival in the second week of November which includes 70’s classic and recent blockbusters.
Please help us in our development by completing a feedback form when you visit or finding us on Facebook at UoB Theatre. We are already planning for Spring 2011 and beyond so are interested to hear your views.
See you next time!
