STEM Facilities

In 2019 our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) building opened at our Luton campus featuring:

  • Modern, well-equipped laboratories including engineering laboratories and three specialist analytical laboratories for life sciences teaching and research
  • Dedicated space for histopathology and mammalian cell culture
  • Robotic equipment including humanoid robots, robotic arms and wheeled robotic platforms
  • Kits such as Lego Mindstorms to build, program, and test robots, and dismantle and rebuild PC hardware
  • Biometric devices such as iris scanners, 2D and 3D face recognition, palm vein readers, and fingerprint and signature recognition equipment

"The facilities are really spectacular. Bedfordshire has a beautiful library and I am so glad to have had the opportunity to use the new STEM building when it opened in my final year - the building is gorgeous and filled with industry-standard equipment."
