Employability statements

Employability at the University of Bedfordshire

The University of Bedfordshire is committed to enhancing our students’ career prospects and their long-term employability. Through our courses and work experience opportunities students gain knowledge, skills and understandings to help them with their career ambitions.

Employability is built in to the University's curriculum for all taught courses. It includes a range of activities designed not just to prepare students for their first job but also after their studies are over.

Being EmployAble goes beyond what is learnt on our courses – there are a range of activities across the University that students can get involved in to develop skills, create contacts, give them ideas about what to do after graduating and make them stand out in a competitive jobs market.

Each Department has produced an Employability Map which clearly shows the activities and opportunities available to aid students in building the skills required for the career paths they're seeking.
