The University encourages faculties, for courses where PSRB accreditation, or similar recognition, is available, to secure and retain such endorsement to support the University’s commitment to ensure high academic quality and standards and to support the University’s initiatives for employability enhancement.
Information on working with PSRBs is given in the University’s Quality Handbook Chapter 1: Framework for managing academic quality and standards, and; Chapter 2: Approval and modification of courses and units.
The PSRB Monitoring Sub-group is responsible for maintaining an overview of PSRB course accreditations, PSRB engagement and activities, and any issues arising with regard to academic quality and standards. A report is submitted to the University’s Teaching Quality and Standards Committee (TQSC) on monitoring activity and outcomes, including any recommendations for review or variation of University practice, policy or process arising from PSRB engagement.
Faculties are responsible for submitting copies of relevant PSRB communication and documents to Quality and Standards:
The information should be sent to relevant colleagues in the Quality and Standards team (details given below), and faculties are required to inform those colleagues of any upcoming PSRB activities and visits to the University.
A central register of accredited courses is maintained by Quality and Standards and it is monitored by the PSRB Monitoring Sub-group.
