Funding Support

Special Bursaries and Scholarships

Rewarding and supporting talent

Anyone who works hard or who shows great talent should be encouraged and rewarded. At the University of Bedfordshire, we ensure that fears about finance do not constrain prospective students from considering university and that excellence is rewarded.

The University offers a range of additional financial support for students in the form of scholarships, bursaries and other awards.

The Bedfordshire Police Studentship Scheme

Up to £4,500 towards your fees per annum and an insight to a rewarding career. The Bedfordshire Police Service has studentships available to all University of Bedfordshire applicants who have a confirmed offer to commence studies in the academic year 2017-18 and who have been resident in Bedfordshire since 1 May 2016. Find out more and apply here

The Steel Charitable Trust Undergraduate Bursary

Dates for 2017/18 to be confirmed.

The University of Bedfordshire is proud to be teaming up again with the Steel Charitable Trust to offer 25 final year students £1,000 each to support their final year studies. Find out more here

Kathleen and Michael Connolly Foundation

As a full-time first year Honours student you could be eligible for £1,000, based on academic excellence and financial need. Arrangements for 2017/18 to be confirmed.

General Bursaries/Scholarships (fund raised)

We also offer UK and EU students a number of bursaries and scholarships which are made possible through donations to the University. The number of these bursaries and scholarships therefore depends on the amount donated in any one year.

Leverhulme Bursary

The Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust offers up to £3,000 per year for undergraduate studies and up to £5,000 for postgraduate degrees. For further information and to apply, visit  Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust
