Career Discovery on Careersonline

Why should I use Career Discovery?

No matter where you are in your journey, from learning more about specific industries to perfecting your CV, the feed has content to help you achieve your career goals

  • Be inspired: with over 2,500 articles, videos, podcasts and more to help you discover your career path options
  • Be informed: stay up to date with the latest careers advice, news and trends with more being added daily
  • Be curious: Hear directly from those involved in the industries, sectors and companies you are interested in
  • Be confident: Maximise your success with guidance and practical tips for each step of the application process

How do I access Career Discovery?

  • To access Career Discovery, log in to Careersonline
  • In the menu bar, you will see a new item called Career Discovery
  • Click on this, and begin to browse the variety of content selected for you. When you select Career Discovery for the first time, you will be given the option to tailor the information you see to your own requirements, such as sector specific.
Bookable Careers Advice Appointments

As a graduate, you can arrange a time to speak with an Employability Adviser to discuss career planning, career ideas or your career choices. Employability Advisers can also help with your CV, applications or preparation for an interview or assessment. If you would like to arrange an appointment, please log into Careersonline, and click on Book then Appointments from the homepage.

CV Review on Careersonline

By publishing your CV to Careersonline, our Recruitment Services team will be able to contact you with any relevant employment opportunities.

Before publishing, you can receive a free CV review from our Careers and Employability service.

To upload your CV, log into Careersonline, select ‘Me’ from the top right-hand corner, then select CVs. Please use our instructions [PDF] to help you with the full review and publish process.

Graduate Mentor

Mentors can help you learn more about the industry you want to work in, can offer advice and support to get the job you want and can even offer valuable advice on job applications and interviews.

If your student ID has expired, please register for a graduate account from the above link - do not use your student email to register; this will expire after you leave the University.
