Collaborative Projects Strategic Documents

Activity delivered by the Collaborative Projects team is underpinned by specific statutory university commitments and priorities, some of which are listed below:

The University of Bedfordshire's strategic plan sets out a range of key priorities that the University is focusing on over a specific period. This includes priorities relating to increasing access and participation higher education, community and civic agendas, and partnership-working.

As a team based within the University of Bedfordshire's Professional Services, the Collaborative Projects team ensures that activity is underpinned by the strategic objectives as outlined in the plan

Access and Participation Plans (APPs) set out how higher education providers will improve equality of opportunity for underrepresented groups to access, succeed in and progress from higher education.

They include:

  • the provider’s ambition for change
  • what it plans to do to achieve that change
  • the targets it has set
  • the investment it will make to deliver the plan.

The Office for Students (OfS) monitors Access and Participation Plans to make sure that the providers honour the commitments they make to students in these plans, and take action if they do not.

It is possible to search for a university APP via the OfS website
