Assessment and feedback

Assessment at the University of Bedfordshire

Assessment practices support student learning and development as well as providing a means by which we can grade students' abilities. Effective assessment is thus an important part of teaching and learning.

To help academic staff make assessment and feedback effective and relevant to students' learning, the CLE have created an assessment community which hosts resources, activities, toolkits and guidance on assessment and feedback at Bedfordshire.

CLE Workshops

A growing body of research evidence suggests that the nature of the assessment process and its effectiveness can have a significant impact on student attainment, retention, and learning. At the same time, we recognise that assessment is a resource-intensive, complex process with diverse and sometimes conflicting requirements.

To try to help staff deal with these conflicting strains, the CLE offer workshops on assessment. Go to workshops to find out the date of the next workshop.
