Bedford campus - station shuttle bus

UPDATE January 2021:
The Skeleton Service is running
from Monday 11 January
till further notice!


The University runs a shuttle bus connecting the Bedford campus with Bedford town centre. The  service runs Monday to Friday during University term times.

You must show your staff ID card, student ID card or University visitor bus pass to use the service. The bus is wheelchair accessible. If you need any special help please ask the driver.

Bedford shuttle bus route

All stops other than Bedford campus and Railway Station are request stops. To board the bus, please give a clear hand signal to the driver. To get off, please ring the bell in good time.

  • Bedford campus outside Gateway Building Reception
  • Goldington Road public bus stops by the junctions with Caves Lane and Howbury Street
  • St Peter's Street public bus stop in front of John Bull Jewellers
  • Bus station by the loading bay in front of Habisons in between Murco garage and taxi layby
  • Railway Station bus stop in front of forecourt
  • Alexander Sports Centre on corner by gates to ASC
  • Sainsbury's outside Sainsbury's supermarket
  • Warwick Avenue public bus stop shortly after junction with Linden Road
  • Roff Avenue public bus stop by Garfield Street
  • Polhill Avenue public bus stop just after junction with Kimbolton Road
  • Bedford campus outside Gateway Building Reception
