Our plans to keep you safe

On 19 July, the government announced the ending of all Covid-19 restrictions. We continue to be determined that our campuses will be safe for our students and staff, and we encourage you to continue to act in a safe and responsible way.

We are asking everyone on campus to work together to keep each other safe and look after one another by wearing a face covering (unless you are exempt), keeping their distance from each other where possible and sanitising your hands regularly at our sanitising stations.

What safety measures are in place?

We are asking everyone on campus to work together to keep each other safe and look after one another by wearing a face covering (unless you are exempt), keeping their distance from each other where possible and sanitising your hands regularly at our sanitising stations.

To keep each other safe, we’re recommending everyone continues to wear a face covering on campus, unless you are exempt.

It is important to use face coverings properly and wash your hands before putting them on and immediately after taking them off.

You should also:

  • change your face covering if it becomes damp or if you have touched it; and
  • change and wash your face covering daily or if using a disposable face mask, make sure that you dispose of it safely and responsibly after use

Everyone should be mindful and respect that some people are less able to wear face coverings, and that the reasons for this may not be visible to others. This includes (but is not limited to):

  • people who cannot put on, wear or remove a face covering because of a physical or mental illness or impairment, or disability
  • where putting on, wearing or removing a face covering will cause severe distress
  • if speaking to or providing assistance to someone who relies on lip reading, clear sound or facial expressions to communicate.
