Helen Burgess - Lead Chaplain

Helen is the Lead Chaplain for the University of Bedfordshire. She works across all campuses. Helen has a background in education and health, and has worked for many years in pastoral roles.

She leads the dynamic Treehouse team in welcoming, supporting and enabling our students and staff to flourish at the University.

Helen is active in reflecting on the role of women in Christian ministry. She chairs the Women In Ministry Group within the Diocese of Northampton, and convenes the Women in the Church Committee of the National Board of Catholic Women.

Antoinette Mutabazi - Deputy Lead Chaplain

Antoinette is the Deputy Lead Chaplain to the Treehouse, Community and Faith team. She supports Helen in her leadership role and is mainly based on our Luton campus.

She is passionate about establishing healthy environments, fostering relationships and welcoming open discussions around real life issues.

As diverse community, we like to celebrate our different cultures and faiths.

She is an inspirational speaker, and raises awareness of genocide and shares her experiences from Rwanda, challenging prejudice. She runs forgiveness workshops based on her personal lived experiences.

She treasures quality time with her family and friends.
