COVID-19: What do I do if I have applied or if I'm thinking of applying to the University of Bedfordshire

Thank you for considering studying with us, in what is a hugely unsettling and potentially upsetting time. We hope you’re staying safe and healthy and that you are looking forward to your future and to enrolling or re-enrolling with us.

We understand that many of you may be worried about the pandemic’s impact, but want to reassure you that we’re here for you. This page answers some of the questions we’ve been hearing from our enquirers and applicants.

The safety of our students and staff are of paramount importance; see the safety measures we've put in place on campus:

  • Yes! We're processing and responding to calls and emails as quickly and as thoroughly as possible. Your application remains our highest priority
  • If you have been asked for any supporting documents, please send them to us as quickly as possible
  • Our Admissions team are working to offer online interviews to our applicants. We are also asking applicants to submit portfolios and audition pieces digitally

We understand this is an uncertain time and that’s why now more than ever it’s important to us that you to feel comfortable and supported when you choose to live with us. We know that plans can change too. That’s why we’ve introduced a range of measures to give you peace of mind and to ensure you feel as safe as possible during your stay:

  • Enhanced cleaning and hygiene Social distancing measures, which include regular cleaning of all communal high touch points such as handrails, door handles and push buttons to ensure that we maintain hygiene within our villages
  • Hand sanitising stations at entry and exit points in our villages.
  • Dedicated, 24/7 on site support if you need to self-isolate
  • Staff working in accordance with the social distancing guidelines.
  • A restriction on the number of people allowed in lifts, laundries and communal spaces at any one time
  • A one-way system throughout our villages in line with Government guidance.

Our friendly village teams work around the clock, every day of the year, to ensure student village residents always have someone to speak to should you need our help or support.

  • In addition to advertising opportunities for work while you study, the Service is geared up and ready to help you with your career

  • Yes. We offer 12 week work placements or a year working in industry
