Course Leader

I am an 'Educator', teaching in Higher Education since 2004, I am a Senior Lecturer and Course Coordinator for BA (Hons) Interior Design and BA (Hons) Interior Architecture, and Cluster Leader for BODY SPACE MAKE at The University of Bedfordshire.

I am a ‘Researcher’ on the Professional Doctorate in Fine Art: space, at the University of East London. I am currently in my third year and am developing my thesis: SWIMMING IN MY SLEEP: architectural illusions and immersive space.

I am a 'Creative Practitioner' with over thirty years of experience in the commercial spatial design professional practice, within both design studios and architectural consultancies. My work has taken me to sites in the UK, Europe and South-East Asia. My creative practice has focused on commercial spatial design and branded environments and the application of 'brand' to enhance user journey and experience. I have also designed for retail, leisure, restaurants, bars, clubs, museums, education, theatre and workplace with sites in the UK, Europe, China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. Projects include: The Victoria + Albert Museum, The Wellington Museum, Virgin Clubs, Heaven, Boots, Marks + Spencer, De Bijenkorf, Thames Water, and Fortress.

I am a Fellow of the HEA, an Educator Member of the British Institute of Interior Design, and an Affiliate member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.

I am a link tutor at MSA, Cairo and Marbella Design Academy, Spain.

I am a passionate believer in 'creative self expression' through the creative process – with collaboration, education, nurture, play and shared experience being key.
